Performance Issues with Dahua IPC-HFW71242H-Z Camera Stream in Blue Iris

Post by gapx »

Hello,

I recently added a new Dahua IPC-HFW71242H-Z IP camera to my setup and encountered a strange issue. Everything "is working" until I open the main stream in Blue Iris. When I do, the stream starts lagging and a warning appears, stating "Check FPS and key rates." The mainstream drops from 15/1 fps to 3.2/0.06 fps, although CPU utilization remains as usual.

Additionally, playing recordings from this camera within Blue Iris is buggy, but if I export the recording and play it with VLC, it works fine. To temporarily fix the main stream FPS rate in Blue Iris, I need to open the camera settings and click OK; this normalizes the FPS and allows recording, but the issue reappears as soon as I open the main stream again.

I have tried various settings adjustments without success. I would appreciate any suggestions or assistance.

Camera Settings:
- Codec: H.264
- Smart Codec: Off
- Resolution: 4000x3000
- Frame Rate (FPS): 15
- Bit Rate Type: CBR
- Bit Rate: 11264
- I Frame Interval: 15

System Information:
- Number of cameras: 19
- Blue Iris Version: 5.9.3.2 x64
- Operating System: Windows Server 2022 Datacenter
- Processor: 2x Xenon E5-2623 v3
- RAM: 40 GB

Thank you for your help.
