How to add P2P Camera (Remotely)

Post by karimkahale »

Hello!

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a P2P camera to Blue Iris.

I usually connect to my Dakang cameras using XMeye vision app, using the UID (serial number) and admin/pass of the camera.

The cameras are directly connected to the switch, and not through a NVR.

Can't seem to figure out how I can add the cameras remotely using their serial number via Blue Iris.

I recognize that I will be needing to use the public IP probably? Not sure.

Guidance is much appreciated. Thank you.

When you say "remote", do you mean internet remote, or the other side of the house remote ?

You can do a search within BI5, but it's best if you already know the IP address, username and password. Are you sure that the cameras have a RTSP feed, or are Onvif compliant ?
