Ah, I now understand what your asking... Ok - the HISEEU is Model: WHD604 4MP+4MP Security Dual Lense Camera. It DOES work on the EseeCloud App.. The instructions say it can be connected to WIFI via Ethernet and then Wifi.. which is how it is running now to be able to connect to the app. Not able to connect or see it with the BI program.
The FOSCCAM is a Model: HT2 HD Wireless PTZ Dome IP Camera Device Name MDS2031. Does this help?

It does indeed. I'll warm up my web browser and have a look at the specs for you.

Going for the Hiseeu WHD604 camera first, these are clearly low budget cameras - which usually means you are tied in to their ecosystem and they won't work with BI5 - but I am finding other Hiseeu cameras mentioned on other forums as working with normal NVR's which gives us hope.

Are you able to log in to the camera itself ? You need to set it up so that it outputs H264 or H265 - but NOT the + variants. H264 tends to be most compatible. Then go to the BI5 video configuration page or the camera, and ensure you have "Make = Hiseeu" and "Model = rtsp". I just found a video for the WHD604 on Youtube which specifically stated this camera will NOT work with BI5. OK, that matches with the lack of info !

No for that camera.

So, as I understand it - even thought my Hiseeu camera is working on my phone, through my wifi, there is something in the manufacturing process that keeps it from working with BI. If that is the case, I will drop the efforts on connecting the Hiseeu to my BI and move onto trying to get the FOSCAM up and running. Do you see any reason the FOSCAM will not connect? Same problem with it working on the app and not the BI program.

Hi, many cheap cameras will only work with their own ecosystem. If they don't mention RTSP or ONVIF, or state that they will work with an NVR (Network Video Recorder) then they probably won't.

I do believe the Foscam is a standard IP camera, and so the BI5 find/inspect should find it.

Ok, switched to the FOSCAM - Same Problem - so it must be the operator (me)... good video on the app that the instructions sent me too with the QR codes.. verified the user name and password is correct when trying to find the FOSCAM in BI.. have tried blank find after identifying 192.168.1.22 at the IP address used by the camera with Advance IP scanner and Advanced Port Scanner. Sitting here looking at a working FOSCAM on the Android - No Joy with BI.

With FOSCAM set in the Make box before Find/Inspect

Opening 192.168.1.22 port 80...

I get 'Failed to connect' with the above on BI camera screen...

So, can you point me in a direction to put the FOSCAM to work on BI?
Thanks for all your help so far, Let's beat this thing. HughS.

That looks really close. BI5 has identified it as a MDS2031 as you stated earlier, and it shows the expected main and sub-streams too. Does it actually add anything for the main and sub-streams in BI5 ? If not add them manually. My Foscam indoor PTZ looks like this:

Screenshot 2024-03-18 165809.png

If that doesn't work, can you screenshot your settings page with the ports showing too ? Did you ensure the camera is outputting something like H264 and NOT H264+ ? Those "+" make it less compatible with non-Foscam NVRs.

Can you log into this camera with a browser ? I'm expecting http://192.168.1.22:88 to take you there. Can you log in to it with the username and password ?

There is something really basic that we are missing here.

And I note that Foscam Support state here:
Attentions: Now the Foscam cameras are having random password. With the random password, the camera can not be added to the BlueIris software directly. Please add the camera to the Foscam app(cellphone) or Foscam VMS(computer) to set up username and password for the camera first. Then you can add the camera to the BlueIris with that new username and password.
I'm thinking you have the wrong pw/user combo here

I set the page to match the one above on yours -
Trying to attach two screen shots - hopefully they come through. As far as User name and Password - I made sure to set it up on the app as I am using in BI... No connect. Before I set the config up like the one you sent, I was getting only 0?0 in the Main Stream (default) and Sub Stream was Sub none with no entries in the dir block. How do I know what the Camera is configured for, you mentioned 264, I have no idea what it is doing in the app..
