MODS - Missing thread I posted quite a while back
:?: Did this board have an event that caused us to lose some threads ? I seem to be missing a thread that I had started maybe a year or so ago. There were a few responses to the thread and I don't think there would have been anything offensive since it was regarding 2 unusual new camera styles. At t...

Re: Manual updated - now shows I have evaluation version
@YrbkMgr Yes my mistake. I am just updating, not upgrading. I am on 5.5.4.4 and thought 5.5.6.2 would be manually installable. I was getting messages in the log telling me an update was available.

Re: Manual updated - now shows I have evaluation version
Hi Tim, The built in auto-updater stops working when the support ends. Looks like there are no updates past the end of support, manual or otherwise.
I thought updates for security/stability would be provided but it seems this is not the case.

Manual updated - now shows I have evaluation version
Help, I copied the BI folder then un-installed BI and re-installed with the latest download. Now it shows my original license key in the setup but says it is an evaluation edition. Has support for manual updating been removed ? Edit: there is nothing on Licensing in the self-help area that I could f...

Re: Question about the allowed networks setting
Thank you both for the rich discussion. As @YrbkMgr mentioned de-selecting LAN Only does indeed work. So for my understanding will deselecting the LAN Only option effect my attack plain ?
@pqRec thanks for the link.
Can either of you point me to a port scanner that you would not hesitate to use ?

Re: Question about the allowed networks setting
Thanks for the response. As I mentioned in the post I do have this working. What I seek is understanding of the User settings LAN Only . I wonder if this is by design. I would have thought a private IP would be classified as LAN even if it is a different subnet. As noted earlier it does work by de-s...

Question about the allowed networks setting
Greetings all. How does this work. BI server on 192.168.1.240 will not allow a connection from 10.10.10.x network even though I have set it as an allowed network address. BI refuses the connection. It thinks 10.10.10.0 is a WAN address and states that only LAN connections may be made. The user accou...

TPU - Coral integration - AI acceleration
Any chance we will see TPU integration. I am currently using Deepstack and AITool, but an edge solution would give me the security of not having the BI machine exposed to the wild and should lessen the CPU/GPU hit each time motion is detected.

Re: Log filename change not allowed
BI does generate a new log file every month, I assume it's reading the system date and time to know when to do so. The log files can get pretty big (well over 100 megs a month depending on how active your system is) and it stores them as well, so you can eat up a fair bit of space if you let it log...

Re: Log filename change not allowed
Hi Tim, I read the link you posted and I can't figure out how he has it generating a new file each month. That is precisely what is needed. I do think he is mistaken. As it stands I am unable to edit the filename with or without the checkbox ticked. I guess I will un-tick the Save to File box, and d...
