TP-Link TAPO C520WS
TP-Link TAPO C520WS
Has anyone used this camera with BI, I think that it would fill my needs for an inexpensive indoor camera, it has both WiFI and ethernet and supports RTSP and ONVIF.

Re: TP-Link TAPO C520WS
Hi, I can tell you the camera does work in Blue Iris, though I never got the PTZ working, but I have seen other people say you need port 2020 in the PTZ control setting in Blue Iris.
Unfortunately I cannot tell you how to set it up because I have recently had to rebuild my Blue Iris PC and lost all my settings. And since the rebuild I have not been able to get my 520WS working at all in Blue Iris. But I know it can be doen because it was working before my PC Failure.

Re: TP-Link TAPO C520WS
Thanks I would appreciate it because so far I have not been able to resolve the issue. Something just doesnt seem to add up. Camera is fine in teh Tapo APP, I have even been able to reset the password in the App on this camera just in case I had got that wrong, still doesn't work. Odd thing is when I go back into the settings for this camera in Blue Iris the front page shows both main and sub stream values. But it says no signal.
****** Update, the problem it appeared was The Idiot in the Chair as usual. I rechecked my Password in the camera in the Tapo app and it wasn't what I had thought so I reset the password and Lo and Behold the camera now works fine in Blue Iris and thanks to a post I saw elsewhere Setting the PTZ control Channel to Onvif and Port 2020 in Blue Iris I can now control the PTZ from Blue Iris.

Re: TP-Link TAPO C520WS
Hi, Thanks for that reply and the snapshot of your Tapo C520WS setup for Blue Iris.
You may have seen i discovered my issue was purely my own fault and I had been using an incorrect password.
My setup is similar to yours but I don't use the 2020 in the Discovery/Onvif port in the setup just the standard one and I don't have any of the Onvif tick boxes selected.
I might try your settings just to see what happens, but the cameras are working fine with my settings. I do however use ONVIF under the PTZ setting and port 2020 there to get PTZ control from Blue Iris.
