I have been having an issue where Blue Iris completely closes itself for no apparent rhyme or reason. It does not show shutting down, or any message, it just closes. This can happen 10 minutes after opening, an hour after opening, or at any other random time. The longest it will stay open is 4 hours or so.... IF I am lucky.
This was not an issue with version 5.9.1.6, but is an issue for me on version 5.9.2.4 (Latest Stable), and 5.9.3.1.
I looked through the forum and didn't see anyone else reporting this issue so I thought maybe I had a setting wrong, but after rolling back to 5.9.1.6 the issue goes away, and upon updating again to 5.9.2.4 it returns.
There is one distinction in regard to the issue between 5.9.2.4 and 5.9.3.1: the latest 5.9.3.1 closes MUCH more often then the previous.

Are you using BI5 as a service ? It won't cure it, but it should restart it.
Anything in the Logs ? As usual you may have to set BI5 to create a text file Log to see it.

I recently experienced an issue with an experiemntal PTZ camera setup on a newer BI demo version running in application mode that would shut down Blue Iris when the camera was rebooted. Never figured out why, but re-starting BI as a service has been solid since. FWIW, it's a cloud based camera that requires a cloud connection for its ONVIF uathorization and may have been sending an auth termination command that similarly affected BI at the ONVIF level as well.

One troubleshooting tip shared was to disable all cameras before upgrading, and then after upgrading, enable them one at a time to identify if a specific camera is causing the issue

Right click any camera and pick the disable menu item!
Re-enable from the BI status screen on the camera tab!
