I am just redoing my Blue Iris setup onto a Windows 11 machine and decided to start from scratch. My current version runs as a virtual machine.
Have everything in and working and decided to add in the AI this time to remove some of the false positives. Left all my zones in and the software is running in demo mode until I have it working fully and will then deactivate the current one and activate the new one.
While it seems to be working I am getting some strange results. I have a trailer sitting in view of one camera and it keep getting detected as a vehicle when the alert gets triggered.
Also quite a few alerts are getting triggered and the AI software detects the item such as a car or cat but there is nothing in the clips pane. Not sure what is going on why it is being detected and even says in the status that it was detected by the AI but not being save as a clip.
Alerts not being recorded
Re: Alerts not being recorded
Never mind. I found the issue. I had all clips selected. When I hit the alerts button the alerts all showed up.
Now if I could just get it to stop detecting the static trailer all them with the AI.

Re: Alerts not being recorded
In the Camera AI Alerts page, there is checkbox option to do "Static Object Analysis". If you turn this option on, the system will periodically analyze the scene looking for static objects and then in subsequent motion events, it will ignore those objects found in the static scene when there was no motion. I haven't played around with this much but that is how it is supposed to work. I believe that it may cause some additional CPU load so you might want to watch that to make sure it isn't going to be an issue if you turn this on.
FYI: What AI software and version are you using? Are you using custom models? I actually find that CP 2.6.5 seems to do a reasonable job of ignoring static objects even without the option turned on on the Camera AI page. I have tons of clips of trees blowing in the wind with a car parked right in the center of the image and these are not being flagged as alerts despite my AI looking for car's (and I don't have the static objects option on). The system does correctly flag and classify alerts when it sees a moving car.
