Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
What is causing multiple 'Clip: Disk can't write fast enough messages in the log?
Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
Based upon the information that you supplied it is not possible to answer your question.
Can you supply a bit more info about your setup, BI version, type and size of the storage drive, is the drive local or NAS, how many cameras, is it affecting just one camera or all of them. Are you running the hardware in a virtual machine or on an actual computer, is this a new system or has it been working properly before, did anything change recently. The more info that you can provide the better the help can be!

Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
BI Version 5.9.2.4 with AI version 2.6.5.0. 5TB storage hard drive with BI running on a solid-state drive, both local drives in a NUC NUC13ANHi7 Mini PC with an I7-1360P processor. 32GB memory.
Running 21 cameras. Task manager reports less than 20% CPU usage most of the time and 71% memory usage.
Had the same issue recently, but I wiped the drive and reinstalled Widows, BI and AI a couple of weeks ago, but the issue is ack now.
System has been working properly for some time now, but more cameras have been added. The error appears to be occurring on most of the cameras. Looks like to many clips being generated, in some cases 8 or 10 clips in the same second.
Some cameras are wired, some are wi-fi, but it's affecting both.

Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
Have you tried disabling on a temporary basis some of the cameras that are not showing problems, to see if this is a resource issue on the PC. If the issue goes away then it is possible that you have reached the limits of the PC hardware when you added more cameras, I am not familiar with the particular PC hardware that you are using as to the chipset capabilities for the disk and bus I/O!

Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
I'll try disabling some to see what happens.
Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
I disabled 7 of the 21 cameras but that didn't help any.
Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
Wow, what happens if you disable more cameras, if even a few cameras still have problems it would point to some sort of significant bottleneck in the system. Have you done any sort of benchmark testing of the system to see what gets reported, "Geekbench" is one to try, it might show if these is some sort of problem, beyond that I am not sure what to try next, maybe someone else has some suggestions.

Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
I've run Geekbench in the past, but I'll try it again.
Problem goes away if I disable Codeproject AI.

Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
You did not mention that you were running CPAI, that would put a significant bottleneck on a system with that may alerts per second!

Re: Disk Can't Write Fast Enough
As a matter of interest, is this just a warning, or is there actually degraded functionality ?
