The answer is "there are many ways to do it", hence the seemingly daunting array of options and features for any number of professional level applications. That's what you're paying for with Dahua. I only wish I had the unfortunate task of setting up multiple T5xIR-ZE-S3s! (Hell, I'd be happy 'struggling' with a couple old 5442s. LOL)
Andy is reportedly very accessible for support. He may have a tip or two for replicating certain settings among cameras requiring such for instances of multiple unit deployments.
Some of the IPCT guys may also be a worthwhile resource..., or a minefield depending on who chimes in first with whatever the attitude of the day may happen to be over there.
All reports I've read indicate you've made an excellent choice. The nuances and personalities of each camera will emerge as subtle adjustments are applied along the way. That's what they're for.
