The answer is "there are many ways to do it", hence the seemingly daunting array of options and features for any number of professional level applications. That's what you're paying for with Dahua. I only wish I had the unfortunate task of setting up multiple T5xIR-ZE-S3s! (Hell, I'd be happy 'struggling' with a couple old 5442s. LOL)

Andy is reportedly very accessible for support. He may have a tip or two for replicating certain settings among cameras requiring such for instances of multiple unit deployments.

Some of the IPCT guys may also be a worthwhile resource..., or a minefield depending on who chimes in first with whatever the attitude of the day may happen to be over there.

All reports I've read indicate you've made an excellent choice. The nuances and personalities of each camera will emerge as subtle adjustments are applied along the way. That's what they're for.

Good luck.

To set up the Empire Tech IPC-T5xIR-ZE-S3 camera (may be similar to some Dahua models), you need to follow these steps:
1. Connect the camera:
- Connect the camera to the LAN by plugging the network cable into the Ethernet port on the camera and router.
2. Determine the camera's IP address:
- To do this, you can use the manufacturer's network search software or camera management software (e.g. Dahua ConfigTool).
- After installing and running this tool on the computer, it will find and display Dahua or Empire Tech cameras on the LAN. You can view the IP address assigned to the camera.
3. **Access the camera's web interface:
- Open a web browser and enter the camera's IP address in the address bar.
- Log in to the camera interface with the default username and password (usually admin/admin).
4. Set up basic configuration:
- After successfully logging in, you can set up configurations such as:
- Network Configuration: Determine static IP or DHCP, network port, etc.
- Image Settings: Resolution, light sensitivity, image mode, etc.
- Recording Settings: Store images and videos, set recording schedules, etc.
5. Security settings:
- Make sure you change the default password and configure other security settings to protect the camera from unauthorized access
If you encounter difficulty during this process, review the manufacturer's included user manual or refer to the Dahua or Empire Tech technical support website Google for more detailed information.

Thank you, but I have the basics set up, I was asking for people's experience with things that work better/worse on the deeper options relating to motion, IR, etc.
